Hosted IP Voice

The SWAN Hosted IP Voice service provides the flexibility to transition your existing voice telephony services onto our fully-managed Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS). The SWAN Hosted IP Voice Service is already resiliently connected to the SWAN network.

The HCS platforms are hosted in two UK data centres with resilient connectivity to the SWAN Network, enabling easy, secure and cost-effective access for SWAN customers. Connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is also directly integrated using the SWAN SIP Trunk service.

Service Overview

This platform and the related services have been developed to allow organisations with 500 or more users to provide the same range of advanced voice and collaboration services across their whole estate, regardless of their location. This even includes off-net options for home users or remote sites which may not at the initial stage have direct connectivity to the SWAN WAN. Our Solution Architects and teams will review your existing services, advising you on potential solutions and transition strategies. These solutions can include professional services and consultancy; covering all aspects from initial scoping, through set-up and migration to supplement your own skills and resources. In addition, the service includes ongoing maintenance and management updates to ensure the central multi-tenant platform remains up to date with Cisco releases.

Service Deliverable

This service provides an advanced set of telephony features and services for organisations and end users which include but are not limited to:

  • IP telephony - audio and video calls over the Call-Off Customers’ LAN and across the SWAN Network
  • Collaboration applications such as presence, messaging and conferencing tools
  • Remote collaboration with secure applications which can be enabled on most mobile devices
  • Predictable utility pricing including continual upgrades to the platforms; and
  • Management Information Systems - enabling access to real-time and historical management

At end-user level the handsets operate on a simple licence model, with the following options:

  • Basic - Full access to all PBX features, extension mobility, single number reach, with IM and Presence. Support for a limited range of Cisco handsets (leased or purchased separately) and optional Voice mail / unified messaging
  • Foundation - As Basic but with Soft Phone/Client for PC, laptops, tablets and mobile devices. Supports all Cisco handsets and optional Voice mail / unified messaging
  • Standard - Full product suite, VPN-less remote access and support for up to 10 devices per user, Voice mail / unified messaging included; or
  • Other bespoke options are available

The SWAN SIP Trunk service includes options for a fully itemised call tariff or for a prepaid bundle option. Details of the SWAN SIP Trunk tariffs are available on request.
