SWAN Video Conference Service

The SWAN Video Conference service has been developed and introduced in partnership with Ajenta, based on their Vscene platform. The Vscene solution is ideally suited for Public Sector use in Scotland, having already achieved high levels of adoption, particularly in the school and higher education sectors. The SWAN Video Conference service enables you to access the full range of Vscene service, which dependent on the options selected, will allow you to; host and schedule multi-user meetings, schedule dial-out to room-based systems, schedule meeting end times, establish one to one meetings, participate in real-time chat sessions, collaborate using whiteboards, record and stream sessions.

You can also include in the managed service new Ajenta room-based endpoints and peripherals including cameras, speakers and microphones optimised for the SWAN Video Conference service.  Room-based endpoints come with managed support which can include either return to manufacturer or engineer to site options.

Vscene solutions can be enabled within the SWAN network ensuring end-to-end service and support through both the SWAN and Ajenta service teams.

Service Overview

The SWAN Video Conference Service offers support for a wide range of devices and room-based video units that are within manufacturer support. Details of the compatible operating systems, browsers and protocols supported by the Vscene service can be made available on request and cover the majority of video and audio protocols for communication and collaboration and the Global Dialling Scheme (E.164/NRENum) for those organisations utilising the scheme. If you are interested in this service, we will arrange some initial scoping discussions to help explore the options open to you, particularly if you want to both transition and upgrade your capabilities. Subscription options and features are as detailed in the latest Ajenta Vscene product literature which can be made available on request.
